Twas the week before Christmas break

It was good to be in the town for most of this week – only one trip to Bossier and one to Alexandria. We have one more week of classes before heading into Christmas break. Where has this year gone?
Kathy and I enjoyed a special visit from Champ on Wednesday. He stopped by to sit by the fire and listen to my reading of his favorite Christmas book, “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” I could tell that it was a tough week for Champ as he went to sleep about halfway through my reading. That reminded me of some of my days of lecturing students about reinforced concrete.
We enjoyed Champ’s visit and then saw him again later that day at the Lady Techster’s game.
Special congratulations to Provost Terry McConathy for receiving the prestigious Outstanding Service Award from SACSCOC this week in their annual meeting in New Orleans. Terry has served in major roles with our regional accreditation organization and has made many accreditation visits around the globe.
